Stumbled across Hot Shots (Cranbrook) during a 10hr drive from Osoyoos to Calgary. Having been recently diagnosed as Celiac, the trip was somewhat frustrating...luckily we had a kitchen in our suite. On the way back I'd made sure I had gluten free snacks, since we knew from the drive to Osoyoos that getting food on the road was next to impossible. When we got to Cranbrook, being in need of a rest and food stop, we were heading to Boston Pizza; which we've found to be hit and miss for gluten free pizza. Out of desperation my husband found Hot Shots online. When I told the girl taking our order that I'm Celiac, she knew immediately what I could order, even what sauces etc. needed to be changed...
Wish we would of went for lunch, very interesting menu, had the smoked brisket hash, rye toast. The brisket was good and plentiful, but the hash needed to be crispier, limp and little flavour, rye toast waste good , best of all the coffee was terrific. Surprisingly the noise with very few patrons, it was still hard to talk.I would go back to try the lunch menu though.
We visit family in Cranbrook a couple times a year and we always go to Hot Shots Cafe for a coffee and snack. We especially like the cornflake cake - great snack. Muffins are good as are the cinnamon buns. The coconut curry soup is yummy. Nice atmosphere and I look forward to stopping in next time we are in Cranbrook!
Everything is soooo Yummy. Love the Hazelnut Zebra, Noodle Bowls, Soups and Curry. Great options for kids. Havent had anything there I didnt like. Great Costumer Service. A little on the pricey side but their quality of food is really good. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
There are plenty of gluten-free options such as soups, curry, pasta, and salads. They are clearly labeled and safe for those with celiac disease. I highly recommend this restaurant.
One morning I ordered coffee, and it got lost in the queue. I stood there for 5 minutes and had to ask again for it. My colleague got her salad missing the chicken and dressing.
The fiesta bowl was the lunch special so I gave it a try. It was really good. The large size was a bit too big for lunch. I also had a chai latte which was excellent.
This is a wonderful little coffee shop with specialty coffees, great food, TV's, inside and outside eating as well as water and cookies for your dog. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Low key, order at the counter and food brought to table. Very pleasant outdoors are. Casual. But highly recommended.
