Over recent years Tedder Avenue has suffered from greedy absentee landlords charging excessive rents, the consequence being many business owners having to closing up and move elsewhere.The good news is that some landlords have seen the folly of their ways, thus providing the opportunity for enterprising people to move in.Hot Shott being among them, The decor is intriguing, the staff and owner are very friendly and the choice of food is both excellent reasonably priced.The perfect place to dine at tables of settle in on a sidewalk lounge and read a paper while sipping a coffee.Every time that I am there it is buzzing with customers and the staff really earn their keep.They deserve the success...
Been here a few times, it's consistently good. Food great, service great and it's a good location, close to Surfers Paradise, but easier to get a park. Also, it's dog friendly and close to the dog beach at the Spit. So a great spot to stop with your dog.On this occasion had coffee and poached eggs, with a veggie hash. Basically anything on the menu with the hollandaise sauce is a good bet. It's made fresh and it's tasty.
What a surprise coming across this place for a quick lunch. I had the trio of sliders with duck fat Rosemary chips and my partner had the vegetarian burger with sweet potato chips. All filling and delicious and accompanied with fabulous coffees. The service was very good and friendly and we will be back. Love seeing businesses doing well on Tedder, one of our favourite places on the Gold Coast.
The staff are friendly, the setting is great and of course the food tastes amazing. We had the pancakes and eggs ben. The pancakes were sooooo good. The eggs could have done with a bit more volume, it was a small meal. The pancakes on the other hand was quite a large meal. Every last bit was tasty. Will come back to try the burgers. This place has made my list of favourites to return to.

My family visited Hot Shott in November and were pleased with our June return visit. Coffee and other drinks still great, food was delicious and service was excellent. Great to see this new addition to Tedder is still going strong. Very popular. Highchairs available and toilets nearby.
One of the most exquisite breakfasts I have had with the family in a while. The food was served perfectly catered to our requests and the smoking avocado cannot be described in words. Great location, with exceptional service. Would love to come again. Worth every penny spent.
Came here with friends for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it! We were served by the amazing Holly! Definitely a new favourite! Chips are abit weird but the serious burger was amazing!
A great new favourite in Tedder Avenue Main Beach. Has a good variety of all day breakfast options as well as more substantial lunch menu. Great coffee. Will be a regular option.

My partner and I keep returning to hot shott. By far the best breakfast on the Gold Coast. It does get quite busy so make sure you get there early
