My first time here. I ordered a brisket sandwich which came with one side. I chose macaroni and cheese with ham. The woman at the counter was friendly and the food was ready in no time at all. The sandwich was delicious and so was the macaroni, they put the sauce on the side which was very tasty as well. For $18.99 I did expect the sandwich to be bigger and to have more meat.The bun was a regular hamburger bun and there was enough meat for this size of bun. The brisket was delicious with a slight smoked flavor and melt in your mouth tender. I also thought the BBQ sauce on the side was delicious it had a slight tang to it which is how I like it. Just had lunch at Hot Spot, my first time there. It's a small place, but well laid out. The menu is small, but they have all the BBQ staples. I had a 2-meat combo with ribs and pulled pork. It was very tasty, and a good portion. They provide a homemade sauce to use, which I used a bit of just to try it. It's pretty good, but I ate most of the meal with just the rub and smoke it came with. I had sides of potato salad, which was very good, and coleslaw, which needed vinegar. The service was fast, and attentive. The prices were reasonable too. I will be back with the family for dinner sometime. It's the best BBQ I've found in Pensacola so far.
I had the three meat plate with brisket (there is a $9.49 charge for the selection of the brisket in this combo,) smoked sausage and smoked chicken breast. I enjoyed the brisket, it was not too smokey and was not dry. the sauce fits well. I would like to see more tang (mustard in the rule) in the bohnen, but overall a great experience. I sat on the bar with woman paula and she was exceptional- thanks for the free cookie and cake!
Excellent BBQ in an unassuming building. This place uses real wood to smoke your BBQ. I usually go for the brisket, but any of the meats will be super tasty. Sides always good, and I am fond of the Brunswick Stew. When you eat here, you will leave full. Also have great catering. Typical meal might be the pork sandwich, chips, and a cooked side. our first time here, and it was absolutely amazing! out of expectations. down, best grill we had for ever. the flesh was tender and full of delicious taste. the sides were noticeable. destiny, our server, was incredibly friendly and helpful. like all the workers. 100 percent we're back!
1-3-22 first time here ordered takeout. pure apartment. friendly staff. I fit every morning at 5 o'clock and see how the guy started the smoker, so I had to see what it is about today. Great ripening and sosse is a mild vinegar tea taste that is a good change from the other youngs.
the life is changing barbq! the best service I ever had in a restaurant like this. the personal is incredibly friendly and sure we had what we needed. eat them here and drink well!
