Ordered chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour balls, fried dumplings, springs rolls and egg rolls. Everything was perfect and the portions were enormous. The noodles in the lo mein were so flavourful, and the batter on the sweet and sour balls was so fresh, you can tell they clean their oil frequently. The dumplings were huge, much larger than most places serve, with a generous filling. The rolls also deserve a mention as they were large in diameter and stuffed full of perfect combinations, also good dipped in the dumpling sauce or the sweet and sour sauce which was served hot (very nice also to dip your hot food in hot dip, opposed to cold like we are used to). I recently went back to Hot Wok to revitalize my highschool obsession with this restaurant. After 15 years, it is STILL a bastion of consistently flavoured dishes, obscenely generous portions and very fast and friendly service as I remembered. If you aren't expecting fine dining, you will love this North-American inspired Chinese cuisine. It's no hotpot or Dim Sum, but if you are looking for fast and flavourful, this is it.Parking: Plethora of parking. It's Highland Hills plaza after all. Ordered a dinner for 2a and the egg role had a piece of grey plastic that I bit into. I called hot wok and was only offered to have just the single egg roll replaced. As I paused for a moment, they proceeded to hang up on me. Very bad service and will not be buying here again.
Dirty, disgusting and nasty microwaved food, I've had better frozen dinners. I honestly don't know how these businesses pay their leases and who these people are giving good reviews? Like the place is the equivalent to a garbage dumpster.
I ordered sesame chicken and rice, as one meal. They gave me 2 meals one was mushroom noodles, and one was mushroom rice. Not the worst thing in the world cause I got extra food but I was just really looking forward to getting my sesame
