Wonderfully friendly staff who made us feel welcome and at home. Lots of locals hang out here and it’s a good place for a drink and party. We ate the three course menu of...the day at 12.65 euros. The starter is an open cold buffet with so much choice it could be a full meal. If you are like us and like to stop for a drink after a hectic day of sightseeing, stop here where unlike many places you will find the locals hanging out for an aperitif or more before going home. The atmosphere is low key, but...the music is fantastic all created by our bartender! We were tired and acknowledged that after a few we needed something to eat. our bartender obliged by bringing us a complimentary plate of delicious homemade tapenade and salsa, both of which, like the playlist unfortunately were not for sale. It is the type of place that I am sure is very popular with the locals and if this weekday was anything to go by the weekends should be raging!!
Have been there last week on th ebase of a friend's suggestion and confirm this is a restaurante where to go when you pass by Sancerre. If you have the chance to eat on the terrace then you have also the panorama. Menu is traditional...and dishes are quite generous. List of local wines is enough for you. Nice service from a very friendly waitress but the hotel needs some renovation to give it more kerb appeal. Can’t fault the terrace location with great vineyard views. We were in a bit of a rush so both ordered salads. Both were plentiful to say...the least and were value for the money we paid. Overall a pleasant lunch
The view in the late afternoon at this tone of the year is the only thing worth going to this place for. The food is not great and the service a little lack luster. My burger was almost inedible and the fries with it were...soft, unsalted and over cooked. Generally the place could also do with a good clean up.
Eating was okay. the service is terrible (yes in the capitals). forever, the owner and the manager are not kind at all, and they have to face them because they have to pay inside, no payment in the table.
