we came about 1.30 after discovering that the restaurant on the campsite chaumerette is not served on Wednesday lunch. we found an empty table for two on the terrace and a young man came with to take our order. he asked us if we were safe. we wanted to sit on the terrace because there were many puppies. as he said, we were more comfortable in us. then the owner of the woman saw us and told us the restaurant was full. it was a blatant lie, as there was at least one open table for two clearly visible as well as tables on the terrace. it is also a bad value in comparison to all other local options. a beautiful building we remember cozy fire evenings in winter, but the quality has pumped under t...

Hier 12 aout j'ai diné dans cet etablissement en compagnie d'une amie. Entrée escargots r.a.s. suivi de tète de veau correcte au niveau de la qualité et diversifiée dans sa composition pas uniquement de la langue comme c'est trop souvent le cas, et de la quantité. Par contre et comme dans 99,99% des cas les piquons blanc immangeable de la langue n'avaient pas été enlevés C'est un détail, je sais, mais cela m'est insupportable.Quant au service, que dire ? il est plutôt évanescent car effectué par des serveurs hommes et femmes manifestement peu intéressés par leurs clients. En conclusion je reviendrai , tout de même.

We visited last summer a couple of times and just had ice creams so this summer decided to try lunch there. We were sat down and then waited for the menu ..... Another family with small children and a single lady were seated 10-15 minutes...after we arrived, given drinks and food menus (all without reservations). The waiter then came back to us and informed us that he couldn't take any more food orders. Frankly, if your going to limit the number of food orders you accept then serve people in order of arrival. This was such an awful experience as we were then left with a very hungry 2 year old.

Gros coup de g... contre ce resto. Nous arrivons à 14 heures, et l'on nous rétorque que l'on ne peut pas nous servir puisque le resto ferme à cet horaire. Moi je trouve les français gonflés, on montre une image pitoyable de fainéants aux touristes. D'un côté on râle qu'il n'y a pas de boulot, de l'autre on le refuse. Gros 0 pointé à cet établissement et à son patron. Pour info, on est en Creuse, région qui a du mal à attirer les touristes. C'est en été qu'on fait le CA, bande de nazes! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights . What a little gem in a beautiful village . The hotel is owned by Renaat and his charming family ,who made us extremely welcome. Renaat speaks fluent English .Wonderful menu , superb breakfast , and...a variety of warm bread freshly baked. Good choice of bar wines , reasonably priced. Room clean and well serviced. Thank you all for your hospitality ! We hope to visit you again ! ;

Accueil sympathique par une jeune serveuse. Ce restaurant est plein de charme avec sa belle terrasse agrémentée de grands parasols. Un menu du jour de qualités et à prix correct. Plat et dessert maison excellents. Une très bonne adresse dans ce beau village classé !

We had a lovely lunch there, so decided to have dinner there a few days later. Simply wonderful! Charming, relaxed, friendly. Good food. We enjoyed it so much, we came back for a third visit.

the owner/cook cooks a much more interesting meal times. eating is very tasty and the waiting staff is very attentive.
