We spent two nights here during our visits to towns and caves along the Dordogne, Our second floor room (Chambre No Castelnaud) had a small entry way with a closet, separate bedroom, and small bathroom overlooking the courtyard. Furnishings included a desk, bureau, TV, stool...used for luggage, and desk chair, also used for luggage. The AC was noticeably quiet. Amenities in the bathroom included 2 small soaps, 1 shampoo, 2 gels and towels. Water from the shower tended to splash onto the bathroom floor. There were only three electric outlets in the entire room. There is no elevator which could be a problem for people with a lot of luggage going up the narrow stairs. Lighting was good. Wifi wa...
Vous passerez un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel restaurant. Accueil sympathique d'une jeune hôtesse qui vous explique l'histoire de cet ensemble de 3 bâtiments. Préférez les chambres (plutôt spacieuses et avec des lits king size) dans les étages pour profiter d'une vue sur la piscine ou le jardin. Vous pourrez prendre le soleil dans des salons de jardin et y prendre l'apéritif. Le restaurant est à l'avenant du complexe hôtelier: murs d'époque et ambiance cosy. Menu à 36€ hallucinant pour ce prix avec mise en bouche et toasts apéritif très recherchés. De l'entrée au dessert, que des produits frais et on redécouvre le goût de certains légumes tellement ils semblent être sortis de terre depuis...
we had dinner twice in the restaurant la hoirie and enjoyed the service, the fresh food, the beautiful assiettes beautifully decorated. the menu is very small, so we have tried almost everything on it and enjoyed the whole. (I was a little disappointed by the calamares tagliatelle,...too much tentacles for my taste, but this is very personal! we tried the fish and the duck and loved eating really. the desserts were beautifully designed and very original. we're coming back!
Au milieu d'un parc, une belle demeure ancienne pour un séjour reposant et inoubliable ! le plus une table où l'accueil chaleureux autour de mets raffinés et délicieux ! Le chef mérite une pluie d'étoiles gourmandes ! le personnel aux petits soins et à l'écoute de vos moindres désirs . Quoi de plus pour séjourner à la Hoirie !

we found this somewhat by accident and were not disappointed. excellent food, lovely service in an amicable setting and not overpriced....we highly recommend it! The only thing that would have made it better is if we had been staying there as well.
