Auf Anraten unserer Manager im Hotel Stars gingen wir am Mittwochabend über die Straße zum Abendessen (viele sind mittwochs geschlossen). Das Restaurant im Santis ist ein schön eingerichteter Raum, aber es hat auch eine große Außenterrasse, auf der wir an einem warmen Sommerabend saßen. Die Pizza war sehr lecker und die lokalen Spezialitäten waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Einzige, was an dem Abend fehlte, war eine Flasche Schweizer Rotwein, der wirklich nicht sehr gut war. Beim nächsten Mal sollten wir bei italienischem Wein bleiben. Der Service war professionell und effizient, wenn auch etwas zurückhaltend, aber alles in allem waren wir zufrieden mit dem Essen. As the title says, it simply is! From pizza to Fondue from pasta to Kalb you will know you will get the best. The employees are top notch and are right there if you need them. Personally, I love their pizza. Had one problem with their lasagna (why I gave 4 stars) and hopefully they'll read this and change it a bit. (Hint: don't cook the noodles 100% before baking, and take the huge Laura leaf (bay leaf) out of your sauce before layering it in the lasagna, I nearly choked on it!) At the suggestion of our manager at the Hotel Sternen we walked across the street for dinner on a Wednesday night (many placed closed on Wednesdays).The Restaurant at the Santis is a nicely decorated room, but it has a big outdoor terrace where we ate on a warm summers eve. The Pizza was very nice, and the local dish "capuns" was also very fine. The only miss for the evening was a bottle of Swiss red that really wasn't very good. Ah well, we should stick with Italian next time I guess.Service was professional and efficient, if a bit reserved, but all in all we were happy with the meal. In this restaurant, we could take a break from traveling and drink local beer and some food. This was the introduction to a hearty Swiss cuisine. Excellent service a large group of friends for a short time!
