Aurelie was the perfect host to facilitate a brilliant trip to Burgundy. She has a good knowledge of food, wine and experiences in the surrounding area and would not hesitate to help us organise them. We enjoyed the food at the hotel on several occasions as and this did not disappoint. The hotel itself is good value for money and has a great breakfast. We were cycling around the area and were provided with a secure area to leave our gear.
We were a group of 11! And it was an excellent dinner. Typical Bourgogne specialties very well prepared : oeufs meurettes, snails, chicken with Epoisses cheese, Charollais meat, tatin of apricots with rosemary,...and great wine. Pleasant garden seating. All in a tiny charming village.
Stopped for lunch before going to wine tasting at Antonin Rodet in Mercurey. Menu du jour delicious: home made paté followed by duck confit €13.90. Wine by the glass. Madame very welcoming and speaks English. Looked a great little hotel to stay in as well.
Simple setting but extraordinary food! Each dish was beautifully presented and provided a modern take on traditional dishes. From start to finish the meal was a delight. This young chef is going places!
