Water is not provided at your table; instead, you have to go to the front of the restaurant to get some oddly smelling water from a dispenser, and you have to keep going back if you want more while you eat. The only thing the restaurant does is bring the food to your table, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes too. They don’t even provide water at your table; you have to go to the front of the restaurant to get some water from a dispenser and repeat the trip if you want more while you eat. The only thing the restaurant does is bring your food to the table, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes soon. If you decide you want a lassi while you’re eating, you have to go back in line to order it, which means your food is likely to get cold. It just doesn’t make any sense. We won't be returning.

I was new to Southern Indian cuisine, but Jay and his entire staff are friendly and helpful with answers to your questions and suggestions if you're stuck.The food is fresh and delicious and comes in a good size portion. Try the mango yogurt drink, especially if you need to coolyour mouth down after trying something spicy. I enjoy trying different dosas each time I go and I haven't been disappointed yet.If you're going to give House of Dosas a try (I recommend you do), be sure to hit the ATM on the way as they are a cash onlybusiness.

This is one of the oldest original Dosa spots on Long Island. However, things have changed a bit over time. Now, you have to place your order at the counter, which gives it more of a café atmosphere rather than a traditional sit-down dining experience. The food met my expectations; the Sambar had a slightly different taste but was still enjoyable. Additionally, the restaurant is linked to another store that sells Indian statues. It's definitely worth a visit!
We spent a couple of hours at the restaurant, which was nearly empty on a rainy Tuesday night. With so much gossip to catch up on, we decided to indulge in dessert as well. The kulfi with badam halwa was a delightful way to end a lovely evening with a friend. Truly a memorable experience—thank you, Lord!
The food is good, but the service could be better. Although the restaurant has been redecorated, the seating still lacks cushions. The portion sizes are quite small. Additionally, one chai is sized for kids but priced at adult rates.
I had high expectations after reading the other reviews, but unfortunately, the experience didn't meet them. The food was quite oily, and the flavor was just average. Overall, it wasn't worth the price.

The service and place is pretty good but the food was very disappointing. The dosas were bland and the sambar wasn't good at all.
Best dosa on the island hands down, we’ve tried every other place. Their malguddi dosa is a must try!
