We visited here for coffee and tea cake after completing a Via Ferrata and abseil. The cafe was busy and this is always a good sign showing people like it. The staff were friendly and the coffee ana tea cake was good and came with...lots of lovely proper butter. Also the tea cake was huge my photo didn’t do it justice. This cafe has amazing views of the countryside and has a glass floor in part of it over looking the gorge which is fun to stand on and look at the gorge below. We would recommend this cafe.
We gave the evening menu a try last night and were not disappointed. Can highly recommend it. The food was excellent, the service spot on, lovely atmosphere and you will struggle to find a better setting anywhere! Congratulations to the team at How Stean.
a breathtaking place, once in search of the **** and watch people who all activities below. very friendly service and very good food (and dog friendly also). my wife loved the creamtee and I loved the meadow vale eis. would definitely get to others.
I would recommend going to this lovely cafe!! I went here with my younger siblings yesterday and again this morning whilst staying at the campsite down the road. All produce was hot and the staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate to our needs.

Unfortunately, due I suspect to the virus restrictions there is no longer any hot vegetarian food on the menu at all best bet is a cheese sandwich. Hopefully this is a temporary state of affairs.
fantastic lunch that was preordered for a party of plenty of sandwiches and chips served by friendly helpful staff. table set and ready when we finish our fun morning gorge to foot!
The coffee was one of the best I have ever tasted and my son said his hot choc was very good too. Staff were so polite and helpful first class customer service.
fantastic service and eating the girls were wonderful. Thank you. they stay away from the crown in the loft house and unless they enjoy abuse.

Great view but food is expensive and not nice at all, don’t think will return but that’s the only cafe in there, leaving u with no choice.
staple camping eating at a reasonable price. beautiful location next to the children's playground and the skies. also a good coffee.
