we visit us from nyc and celebrated our 29th high season at hrishi . After visiting friends and some other meelin rated restaurants in Great Britain this trip, our expectations were high. the food, the presentation and the service they have well surpassed! . for a very last minute booking due to several flight problems, we have a late reservation tonight. in the future we had to deal with several flight and family problems, but each one from our host to barkeeper has felt more than welcome! from beginning to end our meal was perfect. my man had the soft shell crab for his first cure and lobster/stone bass for entree. The gilpin Lodge has a very nice setting in the country side around lake Windermere; the furnishing is really nice and the food was definitely to a very high standard. It's a bit expensive but you definitely get back what you pay for, so if you are into fancy eating that's definitely the restaurant to try in Windemere
