We arrived late from Florida and were camping in the area so we searched out a place to eat. As we walked in, the cook looked at us an snarled that it would be over 30 minutes for us to get our food. The tables were dirty and there was only 4 tables ofcustomers in the diner at the time. Still we gave it a try, we ordered our food and when it arrived we were told there was nomustard for the hamburger, no syrup for the waffle. The waitress apologized but the cook was more than making his opinion knownto everyone by muttering his distain and showing a bad attitude. Best bet is to keep going to Waffle House down the street. Wewent the next day and I was wonderful.
I started out disappointed because I have to eat gluten free, which is a kind of an allergy, and our server didn't know what I was talking about and there was not a manager or someone else in charge to talk to. My husband and I glanced at the menu, thendecided to go home. When we left, it so happened the cook, Carl (yay for Carl) was outside and wondered why we left withoutordering. Carl took charge and insisted he could feed me! He listened to my needs, ushered us back inside, then checked on usseveral times to make sure we were happy. And GOSH! I did a happy food dance!!!
Service wasn't great. Lots of mistakes on our order. They gave us the wrong check which we paid because we didn't notice. When we did we went back and told them since our actual check would have been higher. They made us pay both checks or they saidthey'd call the cops!!! We paid the other and they claimed they issued a refund for the first one. Said it would be back on thedebit account within 72 hours. 3 weeks later we are still waiting. When we called they said up to 10 business days from when itwas refunded...this is crazy!!!
It's okay overall but I don't like their hasbrowns. They are soggy with oil. The waffle is flavorless on its own so I recommend toppings and lots of syrup if you do eat here. Personally, I'd rather eat at the Waffle House right down the road forbreakfast.
