Hudson House Of Nyack

I've never been disappointed with the food or service at Hudson House. The space, the former Nyack Village Hall, and a firehouse is beautiful on the French Bistro style, with a huge wall painting of the Hudson River with the old tappan Zee Bridge overhangs shore to shore. The service is casual / friendly, without being lax or unprofessional. The menu is varied. Not French. Not Americans, whatever that is. Always something interesting either in the menu or in the specials. The Steak au Poivre, which is on the menu, is one of the best in the area. Beautiful selection of wines on the glass. One of my favorite restaurants in the world! I have lived and traveled the whole country and the world, and by far this is one of the best. Always amazing, always an experience. The staff is phenomenal, but the food is why we always come again and then there is the owner, Matt Hudson's Desserts! The absolute best! I feel incredibly happy living here in Nyack and having the Hudson house as part of my community.

Had dinner there just now, and let me say we had a wonderful experience!! Our server James was very knowledgeable, courteous, and welcoming .. I strongly recommend trying it . We live an hour away and a half away, and will definitely be coming back. If you love good food, atmosphere, and service than this is the place to check out..

Not that my opinion should be important, but Matt's sticky toffee cake is spectacular. Very recommended. What a talented baker!
