The staff at this restaurant is usually great, especially the two regular women who are phenomenal. However, I have recently had a couple of poor experiences with the younger staff. The most recent incident was when I brought my child in for a birthday lunch (kids eat free on birthdays). Before sitting down, I confirmed with the woman who seated us that my child's meal would be free. Unfortunately, we experienced poor service from our waitress who took a long time to take our order and bring drinks, and was unresponsive when I asked for napkins. It took 15 minutes after we finished eating for her to bring the bill, and when she charged us for my child's meal, I mentioned that it was her birt...
Oct 3, 2022. I didn’t get a chance to eat here. The sign said they close at 9 PM…I walked in to grab some takeout at 8:35 PM. The girl at the counter turned me away because they usually only take orders until 8:30 PM she said. She asked what I wanted first actually and I said to see a menu, so sounded like she was prepared to take my order as long as it was a quick one. I have been a fan of Humpty's for 30 years, but my recent visit was disappointing. The food was delicious as usual, but the service was not up to par. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed or had inexperienced servers. Despite it not being busy, we had to wait a long time to be seated and then waited another 15 minutes for a waitress to take our order. It was not a pleasant experience. However, when I returned for breakfast, the service was excellent and I would give it a definite 5 stars. The waitress was fantastic!
We arrived just after lunch and were blown away by the amazing and friendly service. The food was served hot and fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection just how Coyote cowboy likes it - rare. During our visit from Ontario, we stopped by for brunch at this restaurant. We found the food and service to be excellent! Its convenient location is perfect for travelers, with plenty of parking available. Additionally, they offer the option to fill up your vehicle with gas.
I am always disappointed by Humpty's in Yorkton. The pot roast is as tough as shoe leather, and only some of the food is passable. To be honest, I'm being quite generous with my review.
The service was terrible. We sat down and waited for 25 minutes without anyone taking our order, so we decided to leave.
