We ate at the Hungry Wolf on our first evening in Edinburgh and the welcome couldn't have been better: traditional Georgian dishes (happily discovered for the first time) cooked simply but with great care by the chef and owner Manuel who welcomed us with kindness and warmth, even making himself available when I asked him questions about the ingredients to satisfy my culinary curiosity! It's also very cheap... what more could you want? Thank you!
My partner and I have been craving Georgian food for a very long time after first trying it in Tblisi. We had adjarian katchapuri and cheese khinkali at Hungry Wolf on Wednesday, it was absolutely beautiful, so tasty and authentic. The owner is a wonderful Georgian man making his own Georgian cheese, what more could you want? We loved it, thank you!
While the food is interesting and tasty, I wouldn’t recommend eating in the restaurant at all. It’s not comfy, tableware wasn’t clean, table wasn’t clean. There is no restroom and the seats aren’t comfy. Take away is a good option to my weekly kebap, nothing more.
A unique place with really authentic Georgian plates. The people that have the place are very direct and nice and you feel comfortable. Easy going atmosphere and nice food in good prices. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I might be wrong, but serving Georgian food on such a small plate ruins the idea of the restaurant. Khinkali were from mince, not chopped meat. And no lemonade...
Just perfect. We never had Georgien food before and this was absolutely delicious. If you want to be Sure Just book a table because there are only 5 tables
Great little place with delicious food. You can see the owner making the Georgian bread by hand. Only drawback is lack of any wine to go with the meal.
