I love this hole in the wall Korean restaurant. Yes it may not be as spacious as the other Korean places nearby, yes it may not have chimney hanging from the ceiling to suck away fumes from BBQ, yes it may not have a large variety of complimentary side dishes, but it was one of the cheapest Korean in Eastwood without the compromise of quality. I tried seafood pancake, seafood tofu stew, Bimbpap, and Korean BBQ squid, they were all delicious. The cooking happened in the back of restaurant but you could kind of see the actions. Dropped by this restaurant as many of the other restaurants in Eastwood were busy or were just simply closed late at night. The menu is simple yet their dishes are yummy and delicious, as they have simplied their menu and stuck to what their good at. I had the tonkatsu- pork cutlet and it was really yummy, especially when you combine it with side dishes. The portions are a decent size and good value for money. Can't fault their food however the menu is limited. If your into Korean food, this is a small cosy little restaurant that is worth a try.

one of my Fave Korean restaurants in eastwood because they do everything well. the menu is small and so is the place, but the quality is consistent there. not much to say about the service, but I can not mistake it either. great side dishes that are plentiful and always changing. I am a sucker for fresh in my food and probably due to the quantities they produce all tastes prepared recently. this is reflected in the trips that are not comparatively cheap, but that is a hard working family business I am more than happy to support.

if it is Korean food, it is hard to go wrong! hwa gae offers a series of classic Korean cuisine at a very reasonable price. the plentiful amount of tasty side dishes is honest enough to fill me. the personal is very friendly but very little personal on the floor to tend the needs of the customers. for a hot summer day will definitely recommend the cold bookwheat noodles!
When it's Korean food its hard to go wrong! Hwa Gae offers a set of classic Korean cuisine at a very cheap price. The copious amount of delicious side dishes is honestly enough to fill me up. The staff are very friendly but very little staff on the floor to tend to customers needs. For a hot summers day will definitely recommend the cold buckwheat noodles!
if they are looking for uncomplicated and stress-free Korean meals, then this place is great. they also contain pho as part of their menu, but it can be met and missed (the aromes are somewhat different from their usual phophophopho with a Korean twist).

The kimchi was okay, sufficiently spicy and sour but my favourite was the jeon and potato salad. We also received two bowls of clear broth with shallots, which I assume went with the bibimbap that followed right after.
the staff was very nice and the food served comes with beside dishes as well as the cheese tteokbokki, kimbap and bulgogi was delicious I would come back again and again
