This place is just a really nice surprise for Freeport. I’ve been coming here frequently for years now, and it’s just always really good. Prices are fair, fish is always really fresh. I eat sushi all around the area, Madison, and Rockford, and this place rivals anywhere in either of those places. I honestly think it’s better, but just has a smaller selection of items.
I was really looking forward to trying the sushi at this restaurant, but unfortunately, it ended up being served at room temperature. None of it was cold like you would expect sushi to be, it was all lukewarm. The roll I ordered was not what I received, which was disappointing. However, I didn't get sick from the food, so I'll give them 2 stars.
For what I ordered, the price was excellent, the sushi was tasty and the fried rice was basic. Nothing fancy about Ichiban, which means 'number 1 ' in Japanese, how presumptuous. Ichiban isn 't a must visit, but if you’re in the area and you’re craving sushi, I would give them a try. First review of the new year, 明けましておめでとうございます
Food is always great. But they put my Francher roll mixed in with my other roles, and they have ranch on them. I’d recommend keeping roles separate. Otherwise would have 5 stars. Not the first time this has happened, and I’ve asked about it before, so that’s why I’m giving 3 stars. Like I said food is always delicious. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I was disappointed to find the restaurant supposedly open online and with all the lights on, only to discover the door locked. Additionally, the staff was inside cleaning and did not acknowledge our presence. It would be helpful to turn off the open lights if the restaurant is not actually open. Thank you.
We honestly thought they were closed because of how long g it's been for a review. They are still open and the only sushi game in town. I ordered the sushi for 4 and it was wonderful. The rangoons were a bit small compared to normal but I'll get over it.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. However, I would prefer if they reopened the indoor dining area instead of using it as a play area for their kids. Currently, takeout is the only option available.

Got food poisoning here. I know that can happen with raw sushi, but makes me question how fresh anything is here.
