Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder House

Chowdah disappointment. After a long drive from central CT to the Rhode Island shore, my wife and I invariably need a clam cake and chowdah fix. This day we chose Iggy's and were disappointed to discover the choices for chowdah are limited to Manhattan or New England. How could Iggy, a presumed native, not offer RI chowdah? I will accept no substitutes and neither should you, so we limited ourselves to a dozen (clam cakes the counter person will know what you are want). These were beautiful to behold, but finding a morsel of clam, I counted is the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. I'm renaming it ICKY'S! Chowder was thicker than wallpaper paste with a flour taste. Clam cakes were greasy and the fat they were fried in was far from fresh. Doughboys were aptly named as they were absolutely raw inside! Horrible food! Will never go there again!

I would say this place is nice, good for a bite to eat after a long day at the beachI was not really impressed with the lobster roll.

Overall, Iggys was okaynothing to rave about, but good fast food at an affordable price. i got 6 big doughboughs for about $5.
