Our drink order was taken by our server, Samia, but it took 9 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After another 7-minute wait, our food order was taken, and it took 16 minutes for the food to arrive. To make matters worse, we received no silverware or napkins. My meal was incorrect; I ordered bacon but received sausage instead. The utensils didn't arrive until 4 minutes later, and by that time, my food was cold. We still hadn't received any napkins. Today is likely our last visit to the IHOP on University in Little Rock. We have been regulars for years, mainly due to our fantastic waitress, Suzanne. However, today we faced difficulty finding a parking spot and ended up parking in the curbside delivery area. A very tall female employee came out and rudely told us to move. When we explained that there were no other spots available and that we would have to leave if we couldn’t park, she bluntly replied, “I don’t care. You can leave.” So we chose to leave and instead had a wonderful breakfast at Boulevard Bistro and Bar down the street. I am very disappointed with my experience at this IHOP. This is the first time I've encountered such a serious issue. Today, I chose to place an online order for curbside delivery. After checking in to let them know I had arrived, I waited for about five minutes, but no one came outside to assist me. I then called the curbside pickup number posted outside, and the woman who answered was quite rude. She didn’t even confirm whether my food would be brought out. After waiting a bit longer, I decided to go inside. I didn't order any pork because of my allergy, but they surprisingly added bacon to the mac and cheese, which I definitely wouldn't have chosen. The portion of fries was quite small, and while the turkey looked decent, I was concerned about it being soaked in bacon grease. The eggs seemed like they might have been powdered or pre-packaged. The food selection was quite limited. Although rice medley is listed on the menu, it wasn't available. I wasn't permitted to order a second blueberry drink due to company policy, but I was allowed to have a lemonade, which was a nice touch. Overall, I've had better food experiences elsewhere. I understand they were simply doing their job, though.
Amazing food and a charming atmosphere! I really enjoy dining at places where the staff shares friendly conversations with each other; it creates a warm, welcoming feeling. The dishes were incredible, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area or visiting the hospital.
I found hair in my food later that night, and when I contacted my local IHOP, they refused to remake my meal. I ended up having to throw away more than half of my omelette and my crepe. It's really concerning that they don't require staff to wear hairnets.
