While on break from March band competitions I had lunch at IHOP. The server was friendly and very efficient. There was only a few customers so we had plenty of space and choice of seating. It happen to be happy hour. We order a turkey club with avocado, cheese sticks with marinara, and chicken tenders with pancakes. The food came out quickly and was fresh tasting. It was very good!!! After dinner we enjoyed coffee to kill about 45 mins of time. Great experience. I would have gave a 5 star review but I noticed some minor areas of the restaurant could use some light cleaning. IHOP use to be a great place to eat,it's now a typical dirty dive like the ones you see in those movies where the the dinner is located in the middle of nowhere and it's dirty. The food was blah, the seats were torn, the floor was dirty,they kept calling me mama just cuz I ate alone. I like going alone to restaurants,just to see how they treat a female dinning alone. And IHOP failed. You can hear the loud music from the kitchen and the kitchen staff you can hear every word they are saying!!! IHOP should change their name to DDE(dirty dinning experience). It was horrible.
In this establishment was said there was a 45-minute wait for a party of seven that understandably wait the 45 minutes only so that I can see that a complete section of the back of the restaurant was completely empty and I asked if my family can sit there and they said no that the section after waiting 45 minutes, they wanted to share my family in two small tables, it was a waste of time that is the second time that we are going to the facility and they decide

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered the turkey dinner with mac and cheese, and there were two different types of mac and cheese on my plate. It was unappetizing. The turkey also had a bad smell, and even the waitress admitted she noticed it, yet she still served it to me. To make matters worse, we were charged for the meal after we complained about the quality. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.
I stopped by IHOP on S. 10th each morning this past week to get a Fast and Hot breakfast. IHOP Always comes through with my crazy requests to modify their 2 X 2 X 2 breakfast....LOL I usually ask for 4 eggs over medium, crispy bacon and 2 pancakes with warm maple syrup.... YUM IHOP always comes through and this location has very friendly staff....
Terrible food! Everything must've been fried in the oil they cook eggs with because everything tasted like eggs. Salt and Tabasco sauce made it edible. Vegetables were from a can and bland. Not worth it. Booth was tiny too.
The burgers here are really tasty. Better than more dry meat burger places. I love that they are still open 24hours. The pandemic changed that for a lot of places, glad it didn't affect IHOPs hours.

This IHOP in McAllen stays busy but the servers don't miss a beat. Our server stayed on top of things; has a beautiful attitude and great customer service. Highly recommend
A girl by the name of Jennifer took care of the table. And let me tell you I was very pleased with her service, wish more places had employees like this.
