Terrible experience from the moment my mother and I sat at the table! It took the waiter a min of 10-15 minutes before he came over to the table. Once he came to the table, he started to tell us about the specials but then asked about drinks and walked off for another 5-10 minutes. When waiter came back, he went over the specials, we ordered and he asked us to choose a soup or salad with our entrees. Refills on drinks were needed but waiter may have only came to check on us maybe twice and that's after we had to call him. This is the second time I have had Gregory as a server and it was the second time another couple at my table had him as well. Both other times we had come separately as 2 top tables. I've got to be honest and confirmed with the other couple, he's isn't great. In fact, I get the feeling he judges his guests at his tables before they order and assumes what their bill will look like. Sad. It 's been a long time since I 've eaten at a restaurant this perfect. It was fun with a teenage grandson to eat by 'candlelight ', the meal choices were great, serving portions were good, it wasn 't screaming loud. We loved it and I managed to get a good 90 minutes of conversation out of him with no phones as well. I 'm sure we will be back!
We had a perfect evening at Il Bel Lago from the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The food was excellent, each dish looked wonderful and tasted even better. The ambiance with music and low lighting was exactly what we were looking for. We can't wait to go back and take family and friends!

Louise said her salmon was excellent and she had leftovers for lunch the next day. My pasta with fish was equally as good with at least a haft dozen of different fish. Our waiter, Michael, was excellent and was always available when we needed more wine.
This is the best restaurant in the city. We go out to dinner twice a week always visiting new places. IL Bel Lago is superior. Food always well presented and delicious. Both owners present over seeing everything. Can't wait for our next visit.
Food and service were excellent. Server was super explaining menu items. Servings are large, so we took half orders home. When I mentioned we were out of town and would place in a cooler the following day, he wrapped them in cellophane.
Started with Nona's meatball appetizer. The main courses we ordered were Calamaretti Cape Sante an President Reagan's Bow Tie. We shared lemon torte for dessert. All food choices were excellent and service was great also.

Went for Happy Hour. Cocktails were excellent and the service was great! Small bites plates were very good, except the meatballs did not taste homemade, which is why I gave 4 stars. Still, I will come back and try dinner.
Having reservations we were seated immediately and in consideration of our request. Excellent service, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for special or not-so-special occasions!
