10/25/2023 Had a long and hard day at work so I wanted to go out for dinner. I made a reservation at this restaurant for myself and my boyfriend. It was pretty easy to find and parking was not hard to find at all. We had the best waiter! He was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered a glass of wine and my boyfriend ordered a shirley temple. We started with the bread and olive oil. Of course we asked for balsamic so we could mix the balsamic and the olive oil together. We started with the Due Ravioli combinata, which was two different kinds of ravioli. One was filled with fresh ricotta cheese, pancetta, and cream, and the other had short rib with a special sauce. Both were outstanding. The pasta was cooked just right, and the flavors were fantastic. The special of the day was the Chilean Sea Bass. It came with crispy polenta, asparagus, tomatoes, and sprouts. Back in the area again and decided to come back to II Davide. My husband pretty much ordered the same meal as last time, the beet salad and the chicken parmigiana. I went with a little gems salad with salmon. We were both disappointed in the food. He needed a sharp knife to cut his chicken and my salmon was very over cooked. My salad was NOT little gems lettuce and it was missing some of the ingredients it said on the menu. The service was outstanding and they didn't charge me for my glass of wine. I think we just hit it at a bad time.

Date night! Or even a special family dinner. The food is always delicious. Gnocchi is some of the best, especially the one with short ribs. Pancetta prawn appetizer is yum. Can get busy but walk ins are usually possible.
The owner David reached out to me through messages on Yelp and was rude yet again. The service was awful, the food was disgusting, and the owner is a joke of a man. Avoid this place at all costs!
In addition to being able to accommodate a larger group last minute on a Thursday evening, the staff was on top of their game with copious bread baskets
I'm going to preface this review by saying I really loathe how that guy who wrote How To Pick Up Asian Chicks outed Yelp as our sanctuary city.

Sunday dinner night here with lots of familiesLike us, there seem to be several multi-generational families making Il Davide a habit.
