Travelling from Geneva to the South of France we wanted to find a restaurant to have dinner on our way down South. Perfectly located 10mn drive from the expressway we looked for a standard restaurant. We found a very nice city house (look for number 18 on the main gate, that is the place) and were pleased to find a much nicer restaurant than the usual boring looking Italian/Pizza restaurants. We had meat, marlin, salads, tiramisu, cheese, all food fresh, well prepared and served. We were back on the road after a very pleasant 1 1/2 hour break that the whole family enjoyed. On our way from Paris to the far south of France , a friend of mine told me to stop in Roman sur Isere and Try the 18 …….! not easy to find , but worth the search , actually it was very easy….. that precious little restaurant is the pearl inside the Oyster… jean Charles chef owner and his wife Flavia are the best host and we felt so good that we went 3 days in a row my wife and I , if I have to recommend one place in this town is IL 18 . and please do not leave without trying the TIRAMISSU……. and the GRAPAAAAAAHHHH .! better than in Italy . any how thanks JC and Flavia we will see you next year. just a two minute walk from the Hotel l'orée du Parc. The menu doesn't give much choice but what is offered is very good. Our friends had the homard and spaghetti and we had the arrabiata penne. All very tastey. The welcome and service were non sophisticated and friendly.
