Reserve! This place was delicious and I wish we had more time here. We were lucky to come here at 17:00 and they allowed us to have a table until 18:30. I felt hurried, but only because of the time. I hope it would have been different if we were reserved. They have a large selection of wines and have options that are not very expensive. The food is delicious, that's hands down the best Calamari I ever had as an appetizer. I ate the spaghetti alla Carbonara and they prepare it in cheese before your table. Came here on summer evening and thought it was nice beautiful restaurant. When entered, just realise the air condition wasn’t working making the atmosphere stuffy and we had to speak about it for staff to put a fan for us. When it comes to food, the bread platter we ordered was disappointing. The bread itself was hard and dry as if it was baked for days. We were told it was freshly baked in the morning, don’t think the quality of the bread was top notch in this case! Come to our main dish, the pasta portion looks huge which were great. Super birthday meal at this authentic Italian restaurant earlier in the week. A party of 6 and we all enjoyed the food and experience. Spacious seating. Great atmosphere and friendly service. It's always nice to have fresh food prepared at the table and to see the chefs at work in the kitchen (and using the built in pizza oven). We had a mix of meat, fish and vegetarian eaters in our party and everyone was full and happy afterwards. Definitely on our list for a revisit next time we're in Liverpool. My personal favourite was the seafood linguine delightful. Parking was also easy in the car park (pay n display) just on the side street.
This was our second visit, and it was just as incredible as the first. We initially sat in a different restaurant but quickly realized it wasn't to our liking. When we arrived at Il Forno, we were absolutely thrilled! The food was delicious, the ambiance was luxurious, and the service was fantastic, which will definitely entice us to return soon. Went to Il Forno last night for a little date night, the service was top notch! I decided to push the boat out and ordered the scallops (delicious), the three Colchester oysters which were really fresh! And the Osso Bucco was absolutely stunning. My boyfriend enjoyed his Carbonara, but it was such a large portion we had to take half of it to go! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Fabulous experience and evening out , Arianna made our night with her excellent knowledge of the menu and going the extra mile to help us enjoy dinner . Food was outstanding. Menu was varied and the way the food was served at the table was an experience in itself . Highly recommend the carbonara and the cheesecake bomb with a shot of rum ! Thankyou we will be back !!
I visited Il Forno Bocconcini Bar Restaurant on a Sunday to enjoy their roast dinner, and it was outstanding! The flavors were exceptional, and it's hard to resist the giant Yorkshire pudding. The staff was very accommodating and even assisted us with our stroller, making our experience even better. Be sure to check out their menu for more delightful options!
