Overall, our experience at the restaurant was nice, highlighted by a delicious meal and inviting atmosphere. We indulged in the lobster pasta and risotto Nero, both of which were exceptional in flavor and presentation. The burrata was creamy and fresh, perfectly complementing our dishes. We also enjoyed a variety of drinks that enhanced our dining experience, followed by a delightful tiramisu for dessert that was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Il Pastaio is a lovely restaurant. It is also very busy, but the service does not suffer from that. I have been to many of the Drago restaurants and they all range from 4 to 5 stars. My friend and I started with splitting a salad. Everything in that salad and its dressing was perfect and fresh. For his main course he chose a chicken dish, which he enjoyed. I ordered a risotto mixed with salsichia sausage. It was not good. It was heavy, thick and would have been more useful as a paperweight. I ate a few fork-fulls and gave up. Pretty bad service. No one acknowledged anything. Maitre'd didn't seem to want to be there and didn't bother to greet or try to figure out delayed seating. No one came to offer us anything as we sat down. Was pretty funny actually. We got up and went elsewhere. Food that was on the tables as we waited looked decent, service for us, not so much.

First time in LA and already a bullseye culinary experience. Fantastic service, pittoresk environment and finally a waiter who spoke Italian ! What a dream experience. Gave all the stars of the firmament to this ‘little diamond' in LA. Damn, I really regret to go back to NC.

Love this place come often how we I had never experienced service like this before: today was just confusion because we had to ask multiple times for water and bread. Nobody came by to refill us, had to ask runners for water and drinks. Just baffling service
