Overall experience was a very poor one. Waiting staff were what could be described as scruffy. No shirt or tie. They were all in body warmers or fleeces. It was a Saturday night. However that could have been dismissed had the food been good. We ate from the banquet menu and although I understand costs need to be kept down to make a profit the quality of the food was very poor, very bland and not hot enough. Our main meals were luke warm with a watery sauce and packed with salt. We didn't even have hot plates and the serving dishes weren't hot either. Absolutely disgusting service I have just called up to discuss the quality of the food as the food was absolutely disgusting it wasn’t even hot it smelt like the woks needed cleaning and the smell was worse as you opened the containers there was hair found within the rice dishes, the curry sauce was green and lumpy and had no taste whatsoever I have never had chow mein with really really thin noodles ever, I also ordered a Shrimp Chow mein and the shrimps were smaller than a 5 pence piece also ordered King prawn balls and there was more batter than there was prawns which also the batter was undercooked inside my son had sticky beef with egg fried rice and when opening the container it had a...
This restaurant was exactly what we were looking for in Chinese cuisine. They offer an all-you-can-eat banquet, where dishes are freshly cooked and brought to your table, rather than being left out in a buffet to go cold. Most of the dishes were good, such as the salt and pepper squid, chicken wings, and prawn toast. However, the duck was not crispy and seemed like an afterthought. The Thai soup was mediocre, and I found myself asking for more prawn toast multiple times before receiving small portions. While I have dined at better Chinese restaurants, this one was decent. The staff were attentive and the chicken wings and squid were of high quality, but there is room for improvement.
Had a takeaway last Sunday evening and it was awful. The sweet and sour chicken balls were inedible. The batter was so tough on the outside I seriously struggled to bite through it. The batter was over a half inch thick around very small pieces of chicken and the batter was under cooked in places. They got thrown in the bin. The duck in the chow mien was virtually non existent. Very dissapointing. My husband telephoned the restaurant, he said he wasn't looking for a refund but just wanted to give feedback but they didn't seem at all bothered, not even an apology. My Wife and I were in Newport Pagnel for a walk and thought we would get a Chinese for dinner so we stopped at Imperial Garden , It was by far the worst tasting and bland Chinese we have ever had . The Singapore noodles where literally just noodles with a bit of dust on them and the Chicken curry was a watered down unflavoured chicken casserole. How you expect customers to return after serving up this slop is beyond me . I could of cooked better with my eyes shut and my hands tied behind my back . We will not be returning .
Ok it 's Xmas eve so when we were told our order would be 40mins instead of the usual 10min wait we understood and were happy to go ahead with the order. what we were not expecting was to have to wait and additional 50mins outside waiting for our food. To make it worse whenever we asked how much longer we just got told not ready yet . When we got the food home which is only a 5min drive away we were thoroughly disappointed as most of it was luke warm at best and the rest was cold. Will not be ordering food from here again
I’ve been looking forward to a Chinese all day. My crab and sweetcorn soup was missing the crab! The egg fried rice was inedible completely dry with rather an odd taste and again it was spot the egg. The king prawn sweet and sour and duck curry were both pretty tasteless. The best thing were the prawn crackers but such a small bag. Needless to say we won’t be getting our takeaway from there again.
Must be the worst food I have ever had the misfortune to order .. one mouthful then straight in the bin .. curry like water .. fried rice was a boiled up mush and beef tasted like boiled rubber .. I discovered this little gem while searching for a buffet style Chinese restaurant. The banquet was delicious, with a great selection of food for everyone and very attentive staff. I would definitely recommend paying a visit here.
