By far the best meal I had in Portugal – and one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere. They were very knowledgeable about celiac and very careful. Most everything on the menu was gluten free or could be adapted. We chose the Chef’s tasting menu. They said I could sub any of the courses, but it turned out everything on the tasting menu was gluten free. It included: watermelon gazpacho soup with basil sorbet; marinated salmon w/dill, avocado and samphire; sautéed scallops with passion fruit risotto; duck magret, pepper Za’aTar jus w/aubergine purée; and olive oil pudding, Azores Island cheese, with pineapple sorbet and carpaccio. Visitei numa hora de almoço tardia, em que a disponibilidade de comida não era enorme (precisamente pelo avançado da hora, como se compreende). Optei por menu, contendo um vinho tinto alentejano muito bom, uma sopa bem saborosa e uma empada, que, sendo nós um grupo, tivemos a oportunidade de degustar várias. A minha favorita foi, sem dúvida, a de bacalhau. De comer e chorar por mais! A terminar, queijada de Sintra! O espaço é girissimo. No entanto, sendo pequeno, nao permite muita privacidade... Apesar disso, o atendimento compensa pela competência e simpatia. Foi uma experiência de que gostei!
This place looks and charges like a fancy restaurant, but the food is just average (and therefore too expensive for what they charge). They have 1 vegan option on the menu and a second that can be made vegan. We both ended up ordering the second, a risotto, and left feeling like we should have gone elsewhere. A friend that was with us and ordered one of their regular dishes was also underwhelmed.
Great food and great service. Had three courses and all of them were incredible. The dishes are really creative and you notice that there is a chef behind the menu who knows what he’s doing. Service was really nice and friendly. If you’re in Sintra you should definitely visit! Fomos parar ao INcomum por acaso! Aos domingos gostamos sempre de ir tomar um copo e comer algo leve, foi o local perfeito para tal!! Criámos grande empatia com o Márcio e ele foi super atencioso, vê-se que é a pessoa ideal para este serviço pois tem imensos conhecimentos ! Os vinhos são excelentes e dá vontade de provar todos...
After a desperate visit to the Palais de Pena we found the perfect antidote in this venue. The wine was delightful, the food was excellent and the staff were both very helpful and knowledgable. Highly recommend and will return if in Sintra.
