I read previous reviews before we went for dinner tonight. We have lived in New Westminster for a year now and have recently started exploring our neighbourhood restaurants every Thursday night. Bombay Bistro is just across the New West/ Burnaby border. I was thrilled with the tasteful decor when we first walked in. It''s a new building with beautiful paintings, lighting and nick nacks. I was also really pleased to see they have several booths. I much prefer eating in a booth rather than a table. Barun was our server and she was nice and efficient. Enjoyed an AMAZING dinner for 13 last night in their "Bombay party room". The friendly service at this restaurant was TOPNOTCH. Our server helped choose a family style meal for our party based on a rough outline we selected in advance with their online menu (so nice to have that option, it made visiting at the party our main focus of the night, aside from simply enjoying the great food!) Our dinner dishes were brought out in perfect timing with everything coming out of the kitchen hot/ sizzling at pretty much the same time! it was SUPER IMPRESSIVE that the kitchen & wait staff were so on the ball & executed this so flawlessly. Wow. Not only is Bombay my number one favourite comfort food, but the sit down dining experience is top notch. Excellent, friendly service and perfectly presented dishes EVERY TIME that I've been there. What's even better, at least for me, is the take out service. Virtually everything on the menu is available for take out and the servings are perfect. Ready for pick up quickly and very well and safely packaged. You'll also NEVER get your order home and wonder where the sauce is for your pakoras, because regardless of whether you're in their dining room or bar, or you're at your own kitchen table, they genuinely care to make sure you have everything you need for great dining. Indian Bombay Bistro is a surprisingly good restaurant located on 6th Street in Burnaby that I've been to on a number of occasions.Back in March, I came back for a revisit (there's not a lot of great Indian restaurants around the Edmonds area) and tried their Chicken Malai ($12.95) and an order of garlic naan ($2.95). I also ordered some rice (which doesn't come with their entrées) because you simply need to have some rice to soak up the sauces with.The garlic naan is really good here... light, crisp, and flaky. We have a couple favorite spots but wanted to give this place a try from friends recommendation. The decor is very nice and modern. It was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant was full.We always order the usual dishes just to compare. So Chicken Tika Masala, Tandoori Chicken and butter mango chicken with lots of Naan.The food was good but the got cold very quickly. It might be due to the type if dishes used. Service was so so, the staff seemed very disorganized. We mentioned someone in our group had a nut allergy but the veggie Biryani had sliced almonds in them. Somehow they don't seemed to find that important to tell us.Anyways, overall a satisfactory night but could've been a little b...
Put an order in here a week ago for a birthday dinner. The delivery process did not go so smooth as an item was missed and the way the restaurant was going to initially try and deal with the error was not great.... but it all got sorted out and delivered so ...with all that said, the food was absolutely amazing. We had butter chicken, the Vegetable Pakora the Channa Masala & The Prawn Malai along with some rice and the garlic nan. All fantastic. i have to say i would most certainly get take out from here again. I may even go pay them an onsite visit and report back on that. Delish!
We have been here twice. Both times the food has been excellent. Staff very polite and attentive but I would not say "personable"... but that doesn't not matter because the food more than makes up for it. We ordered lamb biriyani (could have more lamb, but super tasty), chicken korma (hubby says delicious), garlic naan, some kind of stuffed whole wheat bread and alu gobi. Yummy! Food came fast and the place was packed. We had a lot of food leftover for the next day. You must try this place. It is our new favourite indian restaurant.
Great experience. My wife and I and two friends enjoyed terrific food and non stop service at this new, classy little restaurant. All our dishes were outstanding but the mango butter chicken was the standout. We had no alcoholic drinks and the bill came to $57.We will definitely be back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A very nice and clean restaurant that has a great selection. Can vary the 'spiciness' for each dish to make everyone happy with their choice. Good service, really nice decor.
