the staff were very friendly helpful, the atmosphere seemed great when we arrived, but the toilets were a bit dodgy I could not find anywhere to wash my hands? I ordered the salmon with Mediterranean salad chips, but I got laughs with 3 salads...Life roasted potatoes. I asked for my chips that were delivered happy, but still totally disappointed. we also found the seats uncomfortable, fortunately it was not overly busy and we took some seat cushions from another table, but those who did not get were uncomfortable.
We have been fans of Light Years since it was a small restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Byron Bay. We are thrilled to see them expand up the coast into Queensland. The new location is larger than the Byron restaurant and is beautifully designed. The food is excellent, especially the fish curry which was outstanding. It is one of the best fish curries we have had in a long time. The dishes are perfect for sharing and we highly recommend Light Years for any occasion.
Simply Amazing, great food and drinks in a nicely decorated space with excellent staff and great service. The food here is asian inspired bliss. The dishes are sublime and made to share (but you will not want to share! . Very good value for money and taste so good. The cocktails and drinks are also very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming. Our chef friend suggested we try the curry, bao, and fried rice. The fish curry has a rich flavor and the Korean chicken bao is spicy and tasty. The fried rice is decent. Overall, we had a good experience but felt that the restaurant was missing a unique or signature dish.

I have been wanting to dine at this restaurant since it opened... and it did not disappoint! We consider our dinner here to be the best we have had in our 4 years on the Gold Coast. Every dish was phenomenal. The perfect music and lighting added to the lively and funky atmosphere. We are already planning our return visit.
Had our 19th Wedding Anniversary lunch there, after recommendation from a friend. We were fitted in at the last minute. Food is Amazing, overall service was good, but had great advice from one of the guys on meal options, they were very busy, so took a little longer to get around to people. Will definitely go back again.
went with another couple and had an amazing meal. we all chose the Greek affair and it was amazing. will definitely be back. great food and great service. what a sound!
New favourite place in Gold Coast. Staff are lovely, the food is just dream worthy and a very cute restaurant.
