I must admit that I am completely unfamiliar with this type of cuisine, but the cheerful waitress was incredibly understanding and patient as I bombarded her with questions about various dishes, their spice levels, and more. For my first experience, I opted for a fairly mild lamb curry served with rice and naan bread, choosing a spice level of 2 out of 5. This made me wonder if level 4 would feel like sunbathing on the surface of Mercury, while level 5 must be akin to being on the surface of the sun. The dish was delightful and a real treat for the senses! If this is what Indian hospitality looks like, then I'm definitely hooked.
First timer at the Indian Kitchen. Figured my wife and I would enjoy a date on a Saturday afternoon. Great food and great service! Tried the Chicken Vindaloo with a 5 out of 5 on the hot/spicy option. My wife had the prawn tandoori. We shared some Naan bread and some delicious sweet donut dessert thing. Not sure what it was but wow was it good! Highly recommend a visit to the Indian Kitchen in Red Deer. We will be back!
Not only was the food delicious (I especially loved the samosas! , but the people working there are so friendly and honest. I accidentally left my wallet on the table and when I didn't return for it after a few days (I hadn't yet realized it was missing! , one of the staff members personally delivered it to me. I was eager to try this restaurant, and it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious—definitely the best naan in the city. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the background music.
Had dinner with some friends on Saturday (the 30th), and was very impressed. Quality of food is excellent and many menu choices. Excellent presentation and variety of sauces. Everything from mild to hot.
Honestly, this is the best East Indian food in Red Deer. I recommend choosing a mild to medium spice level and trying the Lababar dish—it's fantastic! All the dishes are bursting with amazing flavors.
