I left this restaurant infuriated. I went with my family - 2 adults and a young child. When we entered the restaurant, we had to approach someone to be asked to be seated. That should have been an indication for what was to come. Once seated, we had to ask for water and menus. When someone came to take our order, I pointed to a meal on the menu and was told it's not available. I asked why, and since the server could give no reason, she let me order it. We had some business to conduct with our Canadian bank after which the service lady suggested, upon our asking, that we eat at a local Indian restaurant in the West Island area of Montreal. She reminded us that we were not going to this particular restaurant for their outstanding decor, but to just go and enjoy the great Indian food. She was accurate on all accounts. We went to Kwality Restaurant Indian as they were open on Monday. My first choice was Bombay Choupati but disappointingly they are closed on Mondays. Moving forward: This mom and pop served good Indian food but my curry lamb was fiery hot. And now for the little surprise. The restaurant has no concept of service. Despite advanced reservation and order, my group of 16 had to wait for about 45 minutes to get any attention. After complaining for very slow service, we were served only the sauces without the appetizers. Above all, The lady owner showed a very bad attitude towards our complaint. We had to leave the restaurant after waiting and complaining for more than 1 hour; without food.NEVER AGAIN
This family run restaurant expanded & renovated a few years ago. It is clean, cozy & comfortable.I enjoy the veg thali here & their makkai ki roti + sarson ka saag combo [served weekends only]. I'll pass on their meat curries & bhatura [too greasy]. Their sweets are very good.
This is a great authentic Indian resto. The food is good and the place is very basic. The decor very basic. I would recommend for take out! They also have a nice assortment of home made Indian sweets! Enjoy b
