The building is beautiful, and the location very convenient in the Marais.You can eat or take ice creams in the garden. The food is just simple, but the garden is protected and friendly.You can also eat in the courtyard in the entrance of the building. They serve simple Swedish sandwiches or desserts and basic beverages. The food is OK, the seats not very comfortables-, and the service quite distant.
Recommended to drop in here for a cup of tea. Only serve Rooibos and Earl Grey. No plain/Darjeeling/Assam/Ceylon etc etc. Told, "Swedes don't drink tea." We've been to Sweden on holiday And this isn't correct-indeed there is a famous tea shop in Stockholm with many types of tea. And, like many cafes, all tables occupied, but most by people nursing one cup all afternoon. Ah well. Off to BHV.
as of now, march 2015, there is an exibition about advertising which is quite nice and interesting and, on top, it is also free.It only takes 15-20 minutes but it is rather nice to have a look and perhaps, later, get a piece of cake in the sweedish cafè at the entrance.Located near place the vosges.... A great area just to walk without any specific destination or reason, look up ! !

Exhibition in progress in the special hotel of Marle , alias the Swedish cultural center : ́Désire of the tail ́ of Sara-vide Ericson. I enjoyed the three large paintings with and its cavalry, but much less the other paintings.
I really like this place to take a break during a walk in the Marais. Sweet or salty c is delicious. Yesterday it was raw with cinnamon apples and filter coffee. A taste of autumn ....
The exhibitions are free and always very interesting and surprising. And how happy to find the little garden at the bottom. The staff is always very friendly.
