Came in for dinner at 8:25 and was told by the teenage hostess that they close at 8:30 even though their online listing said they close at 9. I asked if we could still be seated since we were still just before 8:30. The hostess looked at her manager tosee what he?d say and he rudely signaled to her not to seat us. He didn?t come over to explain, or talk to us just flicked hiswrist to tell her to turn us away which I found quite unbecoming of someone who is supposed to be managing a nice-ishrestaurant. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant. We started with raw oysters and tuna tartare, both of which were excellent. The chilled peel and eat shrimp were also delicious and well-seasoned. Our favorite oysters were the Katamari Bay and Murder Point varieties, with the Murder Point being particularly memorable. The oysters were a bit pricey at $18 for 6, but the rest of the menu was reasonably priced. We would definitely return to this restaurant in the future. Even my son, who is a chef and quite discerning, was very pleased with the dining experience.
Having tried various restaurants in Charleston throughout the week, this raw bar experience stood out as one of our favorites! The selection of food was superb, the seafood was incredibly fresh, and the service was quick and friendly. In addition, the beer, cocktail, and wine choices were excellent. The staff also took the time to educate us on the different types of oysters available. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality of the food and service definitely made it worth it!
My husband and I are visiting from Colorado. Over seven nights, we enjoyed oysters on the half shell at various spots on IOP and Sullivan’s Island. On our final night, we picked our favorite—IOP Raw—and it was hands down the best! The staff was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The Mother Shucker was fantastic, shucking oysters right before our eyes. The oysters were fresh, clean, and absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to return someday soon. Cheers!

I can’t understand the positive reviews unless they’re from people unfamiliar with local cuisine. The she crab soup was decent, though it was overly thickened with flour. The pan-cooked flounder was good but nothing exceptional. The pasta special, rigatoni with shrimp and vodka sauce, was inedible—the pasta was tough and chewy, likely precooked and not properly refreshed before serving. The shrimp were also extremely tough and overcooked.
Fantastic experience on my first visit—definitely won’t be my last. The service and atmosphere were outstanding. I enjoyed more food at the bar than I expected. Special thanks to Warren and Kara; though I’d like to believe the VIP treatment was because of them, I’m not so sure. This place is an absolute must-visit. Five stars just isn’t enough.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic! It is very fresh and our server, Andrew, was amazing. His recommendations were delicious. This place is much more than just a hidden gem in a shopping center next to Harris Teeter.
