This orchard has a lot of good pies, apples, and cider this time of year. Their pumpkin selection is smaller than many other orchards in the area, but they have enough to find what you need as well. The kids' play area is small, but the activities are fun for them, and the cost is low as well, which makes it nice. The only real complaint I have is that they run only a single tractor to take people to/from the play area, so the wait can be quite long if there are lots of people. Adding a second tractor, or even getting a larger trailer for people to ride in, would fix this, but I suspect that's cost prohibitive. This is the best place in Des. Moines, to get thirty pie you want. I absolutely love the rubber pie. The lady that makes the pies is very friendly, and she can also make to order.

Husband approved! Says it’s a delicious rhubarb pie. We bought several and toted them back home all the way to Louisiana.
Cider was so fresh and flavorful, pies were fantastic. Also had gorgeous mums.
