I have been going to this pub for 8 years. The beer selection is great, and the loft upstairs offers a great atmosphere with a wide whiskey selection.I would like to see some more variety on the specials list. Once you venture from the cheesesteak or burger the quality of the food definitely declines. I’ve been served undercooked chicken and shrimp in salads on several occasions.This is a very loud sports bar, so it isn’t the best pick for a family sit down dinner on a weekend. Music is turned way up.I’ve seen servers come and go, and some of them are nicer than others. Iron Abbey is an excellent spot for casual dining, offering an impressive variety of craft beers from around the globe. We often stop by for Happy Hour on Fridays, where the food and drinks are available at discounted prices. The pub atmosphere is vibrant and enjoyable. Every server we've encountered has been outstanding—friendly, efficient, and well-informed about the different beer options. Additionally, there's a takeout area upstairs featuring hundreds of beer selections. We had a delicious dinner and drinks during Happy Hour for roughly $60, which is a fantastic deal. There's really nothing not to love about this place!
We visited the Iron Abbey to celebrate a birthday, and our experience was delightful. The hostess greeted us warmly, and our waiter promptly attended to us despite the busy crowd. The charcuterie platter was fresh and flavorful, and we especially enjoyed the pistachio butter that accompanied the meats and cheeses. Following the waiter’s recommendation, I ordered the pork chop, and I’m so glad I did—it was cooked to perfection and generous enough for leftovers. The Iron Abbey is a great choice for dinner or just for drinks and snacks. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service consistently meets high standards.
Our waitress walked by us at least ten times but never acknowledged us after delivering our plates. She didn’t ask if we needed anything or offer to refill our drinks. We were seated at a two-top table near the kitchen entrance, so it’s not like she didn’t see us. Only after we gave up and placed our napkins on our plates did she finally stop to check if we wanted anything else. I wasn't even here, but it felt great to return! The food was just as delicious as I remembered, and the ambiance is incredibly cozy. We ordered a cheesesteak along with a side of Brussels sprouts and a side of garlic wings. The wings were absolutely amazing! I loved the flavor—while the garlic wings were good, I think I'll opt for the hot wings next time. The cheesesteak was very tasty, but the standout dish was definitely the Brussels sprouts! They were extraordinary.
The bartenders and wait staff were very attentive and did a great job, Unfortunately, I was sick all last night going to the bathroom every 10 min. Skip the burgers, pulled pork and Shepards pie. We also had a number of apps that were marginal. Do not sit upstairs because there was no heat last night
Fantastic selection of world Whiskeys and common staples, and a considerable repertoire for high quality cocktails, its worth heading up the stairs just for the quiet and the atmosphere. For beer drinkers too, the bottle shop has a great selection, including wine and mead.
The loft is my preferred area in the Iron Abbey because downstairs is hot and usually crowded. It is the place to drink in the Horsham/Warminster/Hatboro area. Pork chop was unparalleled perfection! Checked and gnocchi (aka dumplings) was ethereal. Yum! Service was prompt and friendly but not intrusive. Beer selection excellent. Sit inside, noisy by the highway upstairs.
