I want to give Island Escape Grill 5 stars, but I just can’t. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch from the menu, and the plate wasn’t even full—I only received one piece of plantain and one chicken leg cut into pieces. I also wanted to order oxtails, but was told they wouldn’t be ready until 1pm. It was about 12:25pm, and since the restaurant opens at 11:30am and operates only Friday through Sunday, I was confused why the entire menu wasn’t available. The staff was very friendly, but I don’t think I’ll be returning.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and I must say the food is absolutely delicious! I’ve been searching for a good Jamaican spot, and I finally found it here. No more trips across the bridge for us; we’re making this our new favorite place. The owners are very friendly, and the service is great. Two happy customers here!
Island Escape Grill kindly opened early for me, even though they didn't have to. Their collard greens are the best I've ever tasted. The portions are generous, and the jerk chicken is equally delicious. The rice and peas are outstanding! I highly recommend checking out the menu at Island Escape Grill—definitely a 10/10 experience!
The food was incredibly flavorful, and the portion sizes were just right. The service was excellent, and the staff were really friendly. I enjoyed the background music, and the restaurant itself was very nice and clean. I definitely plan to return whenever I get the chance. I'm also thrilled that I have leftovers to enjoy later!

It was my first experience with Jamaican cuisine, and I will definitely be coming back for more. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. If I weren’t short on cash, I would have left a generous tip!
Wayne and Diane were exceptionally welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious! I wish they were open more days during the week, but I'm more than willing to settle for just the weekend given how fantastic their food is. I’ll definitely be returning; Wayne promised to bring the beer next time!
My only issue was with the oxtail stew. While some pieces were tender, many were tough. I usually expect oxtail to be cooked low and slow until it's tender and falls off the bone. Despite that, I would definitely return to try something else; the goat curry looked promising, with plenty of meat.
I'm so happy Island Escape Grill finally opened—I was eager to try it. The Jamaican and Caribbean dishes are authentic and delicious. I visited yesterday and enjoyed it so much that I returned today. Now, whenever I don’t feel like cooking, this is my new favorite place!

We had a delightful oxtail and jerk chicken combo meal. The restaurant was clean, the food was well-prepared, and the hosts were charming and entertaining. We were on the lookout for authentic Jamaican cuisine, and we found it at Island Escape Grill.
