I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKED THE FOOD, HOWEVER A MEMBER OF STAFF WAS RUDE WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE STORE, WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE NO OTHER MEMBER OF STAFF WAS RUDE. I OPENED THE GLASS DOOR TO GO OUT AND THEN I FELT A HAND ON MY SHOULDER PUSHING ME I TURNED AROUND AND SAW IT WAS A MEMBER OF STAFF I AM NOT SURE WHY HE FELT THE NEED TO PUSH ME WHEN I WAS ALREADY LEAVING THE STORE. IT WAS SO RANDOM I WAS IN SHOCK WHEN HE DID IT, I CAME TO THE STORE WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS WE WERE LEAVING ALREADY THIS MAN STOOD BY THE DOOR AND RUDELY THOUGHT IT WAS HIS DUTY TO USHER THEM OUT. I WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST PERSON TO MAKE MY WAY TO THE DOOR AND I OPENED IT I WAS JUST ABOUT TO OPEN THE SECOND GLASS DOOR WHICH...
We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Saturday night and when we arrived, the restaurant was bustling with noise and activity, reminiscent of a factory canteen. The pumping club music and close proximity of the tables made it necessary to raise our voices just to carry on a conversation. The food was enjoyable, but there were no substitutions allowed from the menu offerings. Service was quick, indicating that the dishes were likely prepared in advance, but there seemed to be a shortage of staff attending to the tables. They used to make minced meat doner instead of leaf doner. It had a strong bad smell. I don't know what they added to the chicken doner, but it also had a strong bad smell too. They only brought two types of appetizers and salad, and I didn't like any of them. Normally, I would giveit one star, but the waiters were polite and the atmosphere was pleasant. The most annoying thing was that they charged 12.5% for service charges. I have never seen such a high charge anywhere in my life. I can say I was indirectly swindled.
Really enjoyed my first visit to the Istanbul Kitchen and taking advantage of the lunch time offer they have for 2 courses. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous and came with the additions of bread, salad and sauces. I think it was such good value, teamed with good, quick service. I'll definitely be back again.

When Istanbul Kitchen first opened it was a refreshing change to Bexleyheath dining. Sadly the restaurant has declined although the service has not. Attentive staff make it work. The lamb was tough and hard to chew which marred the enjoyment, pity
Food was delicious and definitely satisfied our stomach's. Service took a bit long considering the restaurant wasn't too busy... Atmosphere was standard, nothing really special, they also celebrate birthdays too which is nice.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and good service, but the food was one of the worst I've had at a restaurant. I spent £60 and left feeling hungry. I do not recommend this place.
Had a fantastic time, food was amazing and vibes were top tier. Ali, who served our table also provided an excellent service during our time there. Would definitely recommend.
