Love y’all to death, but I do have 2 suggestions. Can you add the option for more characters when typing delivery instructions? 40 does not cut it at all. Also, if there was an option for contactless delivery that would be helpful. I have dogs who aren’t kind to strangers, so when people knock on my door it makes them get very defensive. I just want the delivery drivers to be comfortable when delivering to my house and to be safe. Much love, Avanti’s Crew
Drove from Indianapolis for some Gondolas. Was surprised the bread tasted different, not sure if we got next day bread because we stopped in about an hour before closing. We took 2 bites of sandwich threw away. But the pizza was really good. I'm hoping this was a fluke because my husband grew up with Avanti's that'd why we make the 3hr drive. Staff was very friendly as always
Love this place! Holds precious childhood memories living on Dale and later as a teen attending U-High. At home on Sunday in Florida, I accidentally made something that tasted very similar to their amazing pizza bread and I was immediately transported to Avanti's booth with friends. Try anything with their bread. I never had anything else so I am biased.
Avanti is a landmark. They have been here for more than 40 years. The menu is pretty much the same — according to my mom. It is a comfort food for the students at ISU. Never again! $25 for a less-than-half-filled container of pasta and a third of a piece of bread and a gondola. Prices have increased%50+ and portions have shrunk%50+. What used to be a Bloomington Normal landmark has turned into a joke. One star.
Love how quick the takeout is and online ordering is super easy. Always great food and great selection. Staff is friendly and diligent. Weekly specials are an added bonus. Just wish the dine in was still open.
So this has been my goto place for a quick bite as I love the pizza bread. This hasn't changed in nearly 30 years. The only downside is that the dining room is closed at this location due to staffing issues.
