The staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and attentive. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from and the food was served promptly. Everything we tried was delicious! Overall, we rated the service, atmosphere, and food all a 5 out of 5. We highly recommend trying the Black Beans, Chimichanga, Side of Guacamole, and Chicken Chimichanga. The price per person ranges from $10 to $20 for dinner.
Ixtapa, has been a long time staple of Monroe. They’ve been serving the community by keeping belly’s full for decades. A lot of the staff has remained the same, which speaks volumes of the longevity of the business. It’s great to see some many familiar faces that I remember growing up. The staff provided terrible service and essentially forced me to pay a tip!!! Make sure to carefully check your receipts, and to top it off, they were racist.
