Let me just start this review by saying the 3 star review has nothing to do with the food. Had I ordered for take out, I probably would have given Izumi 5 stars. We ordered steak and shrimp, and kids steak meals, was asked if we wanted noodles withour order and we all said yes. The chef came and cooked our meal, the chef put on a good show and the food was great. Steaksand shrimps were soft and perfectly cooked, the rice was flavorful, the vegetables were good, as were the noodles. After themeal, we receive the bill and found out each of us who got noodles were charged 5 dollars per meal for noodles. Not a big deal,but wasn?t communicated to us at all. I could come by a Sunday afternoon after a request for sushi. I originally wanted some traditional pieces from nigiri, but after looking at the menu, the sushi boot was the one to go away. I have thrown out two of the rolls for a small extra charge, but could not have been happier with the meal. we were greeted and sat in the sushi bar. something ice-cold sapporo beer almost immediately after ordering and must watch that our boat is made before the bar that was done in minutes. we also have a suppe and salat that was great on a cold day. the sushi itself was incredibly fresh and had great taste. we even have a small part of their seafood ceviche that was heavenly. after the meal I felt happy...
We had a dinner reservation for 4 at 6:30 PM. We arrived 15 minutes early, but we weren't seated until 7:00 PM. Those who came in after us were served before us, despite our early arrival. It's now 7:50 PM and we still haven't received our food. This is extremely disappointing. What's the point of making a reservation if it's not honored? We won't be returning here. This was a completely unprofessional and disappointing experience.
What a disappointment! Half the things we ordered didn?t come, but they charged us for, which they did eventually take off. portions were very tiny for the price. This restaurant offers the best sushi in the area. Although the menu is currently limited and we miss the hibachi show, the quality and freshness of the rolls cannot be beaten.
Chef Tony is amazing there. He will make all your time and money well worth it. Make sure to ask for him to serve your hibachi show.
We visited this restaurant for Christmas and had a wonderful experience. The place was very clean and the hibachi was fantastic!
