I only took a star off because of portion size and wait time. Aside from those two little issues, the food was really good and tasted fresh. The family had bowls of different types and were all happy with the flavor, but the one thing we all thought was that the portion sizes were a little on the small side, especially with the protein. There wasn?t much chicken or fajita meat on the bowls at all. What was there, though, was really tasty. They?re obviously a popular spot, so you can tell they seem to suffer a bit from small staff and small kitchen, because the wait times to get your food was about 30+ minutes after ordering. Amazing tacos and even more delicious ice cream. My group ordered two varieties of tacos and a burrito bowl and all of the meals hit the cravings spot! Instead of ordering another round of tacos, we all opted to get their homemade ice cream...and I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our cones! I had the raspberry chip which was a well textured sorbet type treat loaded with mini chocolate chips. The coffee and butter pecan I heard were equally satisfying. I forgot to take photos of the food since we scarfed it down so fast! Updated with photos from my second visit! ???? There is parking out front, clean bathrooms, and a few tables scattered outside in the front and back and of course...
Update: We sampled their other tacos—steak, Greek, and chicken—and while they were tasty, the Bang Shrimp tacos were in a league of their own. I made sure to order three of them as my final meal in New Smyrna. The rice and beans were good, and their queso was one of the best we've ever had. I also tried the coffee ice cream, which had a wonderfully strong coffee flavor. The butter pecan ice cream surprised me a bit because the base was different from what I expected, but it was still delicious. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by at least once (or twice) to see for yourself!
We have stopped by here about half a dozen times in the past few years and always enjoy the experience. Haven't had the tacos yet but the ice cream and the service is always top notch! My daughter highly recommends the hot fudge sundae and I always enjoy trying one of the different flavors of the day. The portions are generous, so be prepared to split one and share with a friend. Nice little place to stop to get a good meal. Some indoor seating but mostly outdoor. Fresh delicious food and a really wide menu to please all. Amazing tacos in all kinds of varieties: pictured are an American, Greek, and Hawaiian taco. They are also able to make decent fries, which is a plus. Reasonable prices and everyone leaves happy.
Best Tacos in NSB. No exaggeration. Better than Taco Shack (no offense to them they do a great job). But Izzy's tacos are so flavorful, they're outstanding. And they have a wide selection of unique choices. Highly recommend.
