Decided to check out a local bar in Roslindale. Quiet on a Monday night but have half priced apps Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday after 6pm. And prices are already reasonable. Good place to watch a game. They have a large projector screen. They have Keno as well. Typical bar food, but they seem to have a few good options. I got their homemade chowder $4.50 for a cup. It is very thick which prefer. Pretty good. I also got the Caesar salad $8.95 which was big. Can definitely share. And the chicken bites with Thai sauce which are basically your standard chicken fingers. Would pass on these. This bar is crashing quickly! Used to be a good neighborhood bar, but the extremely poor management is pushing it to the brink of closing. The place is empty often during the day when it used to have a large local regular 's enjoying the end of their workday. Now you have a new joke of a bartender who claims he 's been a bartender for every place you wish to listen to, yet is the worst bartender. He has since moved into the kitchen recently as a cook, yet spends more time at the bar then back in the kitchen! Serious mistakes due to poor management of this place who even Bar Rescue couldn 't attempt to help.
The atmosphere is very friendly on both sides of the bar. The crowd is mostly over 40, and there’s not a hint of any attitude among the patrons. The kitchen is exceptional, and the staff are wonderful. Just a note, the actual name of the place is J.J. Brannelly's, so referring to it as Brannelly's Cafe isn't quite accurate.

I've been coming to this place since my best friend moved down the street. I come up from CT to visit every few months. We always make a quick stop for some beers, great wings, and karaoke night. It's always a blast. Good food, good prices, always a good experience. Long live JJ Brans!
Brannelly 's has not changed too much over the years. My father, a 1953 graduate of Roslindale High School, went here for your years and use to bring me there is the '60s and if you want to live a Back to the Future go to Brannelly 's.
Incredible karaoke on Saturday nights! The performances are fantastic, with a range of talented singers and great energy. If you're looking for a fun night out close to home, this is the place to be!
This place is a hidden gem for pizza – seriously, it has the best pizza in the area. It’s also a fantastic spot to catch any game, featuring one of the best HD projectors I've ever experienced.
