Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation to enjoy a drink at the bar, but although we were given a menu for appetizers, no one came to check if we wanted to order. It wasn’t a huge deal; we just moved on to our table when it was ready.
For the main course, I ordered the tomahawk steak, which I had always wanted to share with my husband. Normally, when I dine out, I don’t hesitate to order whatever steak or seafood I crave, regardless of the price. I did let our server know that we don’t eat pork and opted for green beans instead. I'm really glad to see that others have highlighted this fantastic restaurant with their positive ratings and reviews. The service was outstanding and remarkably quick, and the food was excellent. I ordered the swordfish while my wife enjoyed the soft shell crabs. Even though this place is quite a distance from us, we will definitely be returning. I really like the restaurants old southern main street charm and the local art is an intriguing conversation. The menu has a delicious depth and the wait staff is impeccable. I visited this restaurant for my birthday, but I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome during my experience. The manager was quite rude to my mom and me. While the food was excellent, I wouldn't return.
The steaks are fantastic, and the Hawkins appetizer special is absolutely amazing. The service is exceptional. We are truly lucky to have this restaurant in Chatham.
