The food was excellent. The surroundings were lovely jellyfish in a fish tank and fish, water cascading down a wall and funky ceiling lighting. We came here to celebrate a birthday with family and banners were put up which was a lovely touch. Our waiter was very informative on the dishes and was really funny. We had a slight issue with the food coming out slowly but it didn't ruin the evening for us as we were not in a hurry to be anywhere else. All the staff came and sang Happy Birthday which was so lovely. We will definitely come again. This place had become our go to place for curry nights, these past few months. But the past few times we tried to order we have to say we have been really disappointed. They have got rid of all their lovely staff who were very helpful and knowledgable about the menu items. And now employ a young child (who looks no older than our 13 year old) And poor child doesn’t have the faintest idea about any items on the menu. And even struggles to communicate when we try to place an order. Not to mention the quality of food that has diminished rapidly. Really disappointed. We used to look forward to ordering from here but will be looking elsewhere from now on.
We had a meal there a couple of months ago and it was excellent. The owner came over to chat to us and the whole experience was great. This weekend tried the delivery service and again this was great. On a Saturday evening the food was delivered by a uniformed delivery driver who was courteous and friendly within 40 minutes of placing our order. The food was piping hot with generous portions. Will make this our regular as the quality of the food is the best we have tried.
The restaurant is under new management and has had a beautiful refurbishment including a cocktail bar. I’ve eaten here twice this month both experiences have been fantastic. Service is great. Great curry, good flavour, lovely sauce (that 's never too oily), and really really good naan breads The set banquet for 2 at £20 has loads of choices and can easily feed 3 people The shatkora and sargam are great unique curries for anyone wanting to be a bit adventurous
This restaurant is really excellent, I cannot praise them enough. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the food tastes fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. It has quickly become my new favorite, I would give it a perfect 10/10 rating.
I have been coming to this restaurant for over a decade. It has a wonderful atmosphere and the service is top-notch. Ask for Sid, he will take care of you and make sure everything is perfect. The restaurant is now called The Mayfair.
