Nach der Erstkommunion unseres jüngsten Enkelkindes trafen wir uns alle zum Mittagessen im Restaurant. Insgesamt 11 Personen, 4 Arten inklusive. Ich musste mich für den Wein entscheiden, da der Vater von Boy zu spät kam. Als Vorspeise gab es einen schönen Salat, danach gab es noch die Sorten Schnitzel und Pommes. Das erwachsene Kalbsschnitzel, Pommes frites und verschiedenes Gemüse. Von allem gab es noch eine zweite Portion. Kurzfristig verlangte meine älteste Tochter Hühnchen statt Kalb. Für die Küche war das kein Problem. Süßigkeiten wurden einzeln bestellt. Alles in allem ein schönes Treffen.
After the 1st communion of our youngest grandchild, we all met at the Restaurant for lunch. All together 11 persons, 4 kinds included. I had to choose the wine, as the father of Boy was late. We had a nice salad to start with, afterwards for the kinds Schnitzel and French fries. The adulst calfschnitzel, French fries and diverse vegetables. There was a second helping of everything. On a short notice my eldest daughter asked for chicken instead of calf. This was no Problem for the kitchen. Sweets were ordered individualy. All in all a nice meet.
We love this place, and find it to be the most wonderful combination of simple, local flavors and food with truly exceptional attention to detail and customer service. In the summer, a beer in the garden with dozens of locals, in winter, a nice meal in the snug... Always a pleasure. The pork chops, by the way, are among the finest I have ever tasted in my 48 years! We bring family and friends here, and they often include a request to eat here when they come to visit.
Its not Haute cuisine but down to earth prepared food which can be enjoyed by a family or a large crowd. The service is very personal and friendly. It's a small, family owned restaurant with a cute garden. Nothing fancy but food is simple, honest and most of all made with love. I love their fresh salads, awesome cordon bleus and also the lunch-menu is great. service is always very friendly.
Unser Lieblingsgericht ist das Cordon Bleu mit Salat und ein paar Chips. Zusammen mit etwas lokalem Wein! Netter und freundlicher Service.
