Wow, I can only say wow! I’m visiting from Charleston, SC, to see my wife’s family and decided to check out this fantastic place. The menu is extensive, offering something for every taste. The fried oysters and shrimp were outstanding, and that’s coming from someone who lives near the beach! The drinks are amazing too—we tried the mango strawberry margarita, and it definitely lived up to the hype, so we ended up ordering a pitcher. Best of all, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, and the service was exceptional. We were treated like family from the moment we walked in, and our server Kayla was on top of everything. Jake's is great! I hadn't been here for a long time so I was happy to come back and find that they are still serving deliciously good and solid breakfasts. Their cappuccino is perfect along with our perfectly prepared, generous breakfast dishes. Although there was a sign that they were short of staff, service was absolutely spot on. You couldn't ask for more.
Jake’s is the best brunch place in the area! Food is phenomenal, plenty of vegetarian options, and the atmosphere and service are always excellent. They always have creative specials and plenty of tried and true staples on the regular menu. The soft scrambled are fantastic. There is usually a bit of a wait but they have a good system and are very efficient.
I visited Jake's for the first time and couldn't be more pleased. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the service was wonderful. The staff at this restaurant were rather unfriendly and distant. Although the place had a lively atmosphere, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of our table and the overall upkeep of the restaurant. While I appreciated the food, I genuinely wish the rest of my experience had been of the same standard.
Few places can match the experience at Jake's. They serve the best breakfast, featuring exciting and inventive dishes. The customer service is consistently excellent. My only suggestion would be to improve the taste of the drip coffee—consider giving the new roasters from Springfield a try!
This charming little spot offers a variety of brunch options. I tried the eggs Benedict, but my friend's shrimp and grits were much better. The drinks were quite enjoyable as well!
