???So normally I wouldn’t even give it two stars But out of respect for the owner and his other stores/restaurants I’m being courteous. I’ve been a long time customer of jamaFO Canoga and I LOVE THEM .Their newest restaurant is in Encino and both times I’ve been to this location the staff have been extremely rude and seem to have a very misunderstood definition of customer service the woman who is there today August 2, 2022 at approximately 1:30 PM is out right so indescribably rude and condescending that if she worked for my moving companyshe wouldn’t anymore!!!!!!Sorry David but it had to be said ?I will never patron at this establishment again My family and I will just keep travelling way...
Best and I mean best jamaican restaurant I've had the plessure to eat at in the valley or California overall. Their service is also amazing. Glad they can now deliver to my address. No offense to the other Caribbean restaurants, but this is IT! I get sad anytime I crave them of their days off, especially when I really want oxtail. I get forced to eat somewhere else and get reminded of how good I have it here with Jamafo. It's like craving Chick-fil-A on Sundays. They are the best. I am very picky, so ik what I'm talking about. Good quantity and quality food. Seasoned just right if not better. *chefs kiss*
This place is amazing! I've never had Jamaican food before so I didn't really know what to expect. We ordered the more popular dishes, and let me tell you, they were AMAZING! My favorite thing was the cabbage that comes in the box and the shrimp. It was so delicious, I couldn't recommend it more. If you've never tried Jamaican food and you're debating, then go here! Trust me you won't regret it. 10/10 would recommend!!
Why are you still reading reviews? If you don't go to this restaurant, you're missing out on something delicious. I was excited to try Jamaican cuisine for the first time and I'm glad I did. The oxtails were tender and the jerk chicken had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. Plus, the portion sizes are huge. Stop hesitating and just go, or you'll regret it. Love it! The jerk tofu pineapple box is so yummy, customer service was also great last night! I had a problem with the app where I ordered it and the 2 girls were really nice and helpful. (Don?t order through Restaurant Direct, they charged me and they don?t even receive orders from that server. Order through JamaFo app instead!
The oxtail at this restaurant is top-notch. It is incredibly tasty and they offer both vegan and non-vegan versions. The sauce is to die for. In terms of vegetarian options, there are plenty, and the same goes for vegan options. The parking lot may not be very big, but there is always a spot available.
I had my food delivered and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the wings and lemon cake. The J sauce is a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. The flavors were amazing.

We ordered j chicken, curry goat, oxtail and curry chicken. Growing up on Jamaican good, I was critical. But I was very surprised the food was actually really good!
