The food was just average, and the menu had several changes from what was available online, which we weren’t made aware of. One major change was from vegetable dumplings to pork dumplings, which nearly caused an issue for my vegetarian friend. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to keep diners in the loop. Additionally, the satay chicken with garlic naan was swapped for pork bao buns, and the wedges were mostly batter and quite greasy. I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but the food was disappointing, although the staff were fine. Overall, we dined in.
Venue is nice but the staff were rude. We went for bottomless and were sitting with empty drinks for atleast 20 minutes and tried to waive over the waiter, and were told off for requesting service and were told to wait out turn. Beautiful place, gorgeous food and lovely staff. We got to try a delicious pineapple and coconut (I think those were the flavours but don't hold me to that) sorbet as we were paying and it was sooooooo good! All the food was so definitely go. Super groovy place, we went at 6pm on a Friday not many people were there so it was nice and quiet but would guess it would get much busier as the night progressed. Love it, will definitely go back. We ordered the feed me menu we were certainly fed. Stand out dish was the beef tartar cauliflower bites, meal was finished by a light and refreshing sorbet coconut sago pudding. Service was great and will definitely return. Thanks JAMU Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$60–80
I’ve visited Jamu several times now, and each visit leaves me eagerly anticipating the next one. The flavors are an absolute delight for my taste buds! It's wonderful to see the chefs in action, and their cooking techniques are truly exceptional.
Rude front of house staffs. Food is mediocre nothing to rave about. Ridiculous waiting time
