This small restaurant is situated in the Jardín de Cactus in Lanzarote, which was originally created by the famous artist Cesar Manrique. The food was excellent and there are lots of vegan options. Service was also good. You have to be careful though because they don’t fully distinguish between vegan and vegetarian dishes and there is simply a V symbol on both of them on the menu. You need to ask or check to be sure. For example I had to tell the waiter to give me my cactus burger without cheese. Portions were also a bit small. Prices were good. overall there is a lot of vegan options and its a nice possibility to soak in the cactus garden. the ropa vieja was delicious, although a very small tapas share. the cactus burger was in order, not the best vegan burger, but an interesting experience – let them surely leave the sauce that cheese in it has left. nopal maki was really silly I recommend it not at all for this price! and finally the vegan nopal ice cream was delicious, absolutely recommended!
La cafetería restaurante del Jardín de Cáctus de César Manrique está perfectamente integrada con el diseño general de los jardínes, y es en si misma una pequeña obra de arte, con dos partes, la interior más formal, con una escalar y una lámpara muy originales, y la exterior es más informal, una terraza con estupendas vistas sobre los jardines de cáctus. Todo en el lugar es de diseño, hasta la carta.
the restaurant of the césar manrique garden cafe is perfectly integrated with the general design of the garden, and is itself a small work of art, with two parts, the most formal interior, with a climbing and a very original lamp, and the exterior is more informal, a terrace with great views over the cactus gardens. everything in the place is design, until the letter.

The menu is marked with a (v) for vegetarian options, plenty of choice! You need to speak to the staff to clarify what is vegan, it was a little confusing as the allergen menu didn't seem to match what the waiter told us BUT, cactus burger was delicious and unique experience. Overall happy!

This café/restaurant in the gorgeous cactus garden is almost entirely vegetarian with numerous vegan options. Highly recommended.
